Scope

IWC was hired by Parks Canada (Public Works and Government Services Canada) for a unique project that included culvert, bridge, and road work construction. The scope was focused on the replacement of several culverts with new polymer-coating, installation of arch-culvert multi plates, construction of a new concrete box-girder bridge (including 4 sections of lock block retaining walls), and the replacement of numerous sections of roads, and the upgrade of a boat launch.

Summary

This was a large scale project that was executed over a term of 8 Months. With an experienced team of around 40-50 staff on-site IWC was able to execute on multiple scopes and challenges. Due to the location of the project water challenges were current throughout. This required constant communication and resource planning. IWC also needed to coordinate work activities to accommodate the sensitive environmental landscape for the project location. Overall the project was a success and IWC was able to execute a wide range of services in a remote and complex work location.
